I love my cousins yo...

Denise and Halle (We are always together)

Josephine (I call her Pinochio but I love her)
Alisson (the brat)
Philip&Jospeh (we call them baby both of them)

My Cousins are the best. They are always fun to play and hang out with LOL.. The twins always hyper-active which is fun because they always try to wrestle me which is fun:).
Alisson is just the brattiest cousin out of all of them. She has that little girl attitude. But thats what I love about my lil cousin.
Josephine(pinochio) she is the best ever besides Dee. She always hangs with me when I am bored and is the only one that spends the night at my house. I love her.
Denise- they are the best. Denise and I are basically together all the time well we are. Everyday we are always with eachother. I love her.
I love them all.

~I love my SIBS~

Crim Jr. (the cry baby, but i love him)
Cameron (the look after us one)
Kalee (the one that follows me all the TIME)
Crimson (the sassy one)
Phyllis in the white (the annoyin one)

I love my little brothers and sisters. They are fun at some points LOL and most of the time they get on my nerves like no tomorrow. LOL But when someone picks on them of course I stick up for them. LOL In a mean kind of way. LOL well towards the people who picks on them. Trust me you wouldn't want to be around me when I get mad or stick up for them. :) I love them that much.
1. ME
2. Phyllis
3. Cameron (my mom adopted my bro from her younger sis)
4. Crim Jr.
5. Crimson
6. Raymond (my moms sister adopted him)
7. Kalee

Phyllis- She is the one that always gets on my nerves but we try to get along. I love her to death.

Cameron- He is the one that always sticks up for us. He has our backs all the time. I love him too much.

Crim Jr.- The youngest boy. Mommas boy. LOL always cry to get his way. But we all love him and he is growing out of that now. Which is good. I love my little brother.

Crimson- She is the one that tries to follow me when parents are gone, which is so annoying. But I love her. She likes to sass back. Which is so annoying. We all love her though.

Raymond- My brother that was adopted to my moms older sister I only met him once. But I here about him once in a while. I still recall him as a brother. I love him and wish I could see him. I only got to see him when he was a new born. I want to see him. He has to come to my graduation. I love my lil brother that I barely see.

Kalee- LOL I have lots to say. She is the spoiledest one out of all of us. She has to follow me everywhere. And I mean everywhere. But I love her. She cries to get her way but we love her too much. Spoiled her too hard. I love my little sister.

My brothers and sisters are the best. LOL Sure we have those days where we argue and get so annoyed with each other but we have our reasons. We try to get along and try not to annoy each other. I love them so much. They are the best ever. They are pretty fun to play with when I am bored. We have our ways of trying not to annoy each other. The older ones except Kalee know how to give me space which is great. I love them!!!! We are FAMILY!!! Their the best. They look up to me and I look down to them.

Me and my dad

As the days go by, I am missing my dad. It isn't the same without him living in Chewy. Its kind of gay to tell you the truth. But all is well I guess. He is living in Akiachak with his girlfriend. His girlfriend has family there. So, idk how to explain that. I hope that he comes back up. He said that he would be up here for Russian Orthodox Christmas or also known as Slaviq. But I miss him lots and hope that he comes back up. Well Love and miss u DAD!

Anchorage House

All I can say is this Anchorage House is pretty boring....... I like the activities we do but, all we do basically is chill at the house. We planned our fun events for the evening, which was pretty lame. I thought we could have done a lot better but guess thats just a stupid mistake. LOL JK not a stupid mistake but as a group we chose boring activities. But I cannot complain at least we get to see a UAA volleyball game. Which is pretty neat. Very competitive I hear not like high school volleyball. I hope its going to be at least some fun. I am here till the 6th so I have a lot of work to do. Which isn't bad. You know? I am going to be setting up Job Interviews on my own. So I'm kind of scared about that. Because I am definitely not a set up person. LOL I mean I am to shy and scared to do that but hopefully I would be able to get some help. LOL But I think I can do it. I believe in myself. LOL Anyways this trip better go good. If not then I just wasted my time. But hopefully it'll all be good. LOL Well see ya next time.:)

Chris Paul is the S*it

Everyone should know Chris Paul? He plays for the New Orleans Hornets. 23 years old and a very great ball player and of course HOT! LOL well its true he is hot, great a basketball and young. He is like no one can stop him. Very competitive, which is cool because what is the meaning of basketball without competitive? I think that it would be kind of boring. But he is good. Just like Lebron James and Kobe Bryant. Very good professional ball player. But Chris Paul still has a long ways to go. Still young and fresh. LOL I am sure he will get better and better as his career boosts!! I love Chris Paul. HOT!!:)

student council kick it off

Last night we hosted a Cake Walk for our first fundraiser. We made a lot of profit. With $1.00 a cake walk with only 6 cakes we made lots of money. Which is pretty good because we got those cakes for free. Two days ago we stayed after school and baked them and yesterday we stayed after school to decorate them. It was fun. After we made the cakes and got done decorating them of course we went home and chillaxed.
The cake walk started at 6:30-7:30p.m. It was a lot of fun. Watching the little kids winning a cake. It was the cutest thing ever. You should have seen their faces in how happy they were to win a cake. I made a cute spongebob one. LOL the kids went crazy for that. LOL It was the coolest though.
I hope that next fundraising event is better. Our next fundraiser is of course going to be the Halloween Carnival. I hope that the carnival works out good. Hope that we make profit and what not... :)Go Student Council.

A picture is worth a 1000........

Wrong Turn

In the beginning of the month. I went on a rafting trip. The rafting trip included the whole KSD District. About a total of 18-20 students participated including staff. We arrived at Bell Creek where camp was already set up. As we landed students were already there. The first day I arrived other students from Chuathbaluk on up. The first day we just hung out and got to know each other at the bon fire we had. It was fun. The 2nd day we break camp down and headed off down river. The first 200 yards we had to get out of the raft due to getting stuck. Making it hard but it was fun, at least we started to raft. We found camp and set up, and started cooking. Everyday we basically did the same thing over and over again. Taking turns to cook, clean up and everyone helped out breaking and setting up camp. Along with unloading and loading the boats. Which was great teamwork. On the 2nd to last day we took a wrong turn. At first I thought it was an okay idea that the chaperones chose that turn. At the end it didn't turn out so well. I was mad, but tried to have fun. It was kind of funny watching the teachers collaborate with each other. When we started to head off on that wrong turn there off course was a log jam and we didn't know where the other rivers were headed. So the teachers decided to walk the boats back. But that there was sort of a problem. The water was too deep and there were basically sweepers in our way but we did it. It took at least I think 3-4 hours. It was crazy. I was then officially mad because we had to walk back up stream. But we all made it. Teamwork. High five.:) We made it through and went back to the river and just started heading down stream. Mr Parrish and Wendy weren't with us because they went on a different path and were safe. They set up camp and tried looking for us when they reached a near tourist camp. The camp people brought Mr. Parrish to look for us but we made it. We were getting near to that Tourist Camp and they directed us to our camp. It was basically around the bend and we just started paddling. It was definetly cold. Of course it was we were soaked for like 3-4 hours maybe more. But we reached nearer and neared to camp and as everyone was arriving we quickly unloaded the boats and started to set camp up. When we put our tents back up we quickly changed into dry clothes. After everyone changed we the students had decided that the teachers were going to cook. Since they haven't in a while or seems like they never did. But it was okay. We ate, and had smores. Which tasted pretty good. LOL The teachers then went to bed while some of us just watched the stars and hung out. I then was getting tired and decided to go to bed because it was an exhausting day for me and probably for everyone else. But the rafting trip was fun and hope that next time the teachers make sure that they the correct loactions and what not. Just hope that they don't make that same mistake. LOL Just wish I could go again next  year but hey at least I am graduating.:) Go Class of 2009!!!!!

Local Schools more populous than expected.....

More people are enrolling to Anchorage schools. Why? As the people say that its a "Rural Migration". Meaning Alaska Natives from rural villages are moving due to high energy, fuel, and food prices. The Anchorage School Districts is spending 1.7 million to hire 18 new teachers and other staff. Gloria from the Cook Inlet Tribal Council said that it would be hard for Alaskans because of the high fuel price. She said that there probably would be more people moving in from the villages because people are getting their PFD's and energy rebate of a total of $3269. She says that it is cheaper here in Anchorage but the fuel and rent cost lots.
I think that this was a unquestionable article. It shows why people are moving maybe for a better education for their children or a cheaper life. Who knows? They probably just wanted to get away from their village. Which could be understandable. We know what village life is all about. We grew up here in Rural Alaska. We know how cold it gets, how high gas, energy, and food prices boom. Its crazy but its understandable, and we natives know we can make it out here in Rural Alaska.:)

News Flash

A group of people are making an organization in donating there energy rebates to rural communities that need it most. Due to higher energy costs. They have decided that the people that live out in rural villages like the Kuskokwim Delta , all over Alaska. They have decided to step up and donate them to people that need it more. Which is great. I think that this is a great idea. They are generous to help others.

What about me?

Hi my name is Charlotte Phillips. I am 17 years old and was born in Bethel, Alaska on the 12th of September. I live in Chuathbaluk. Basically lived here since my existence on this earth. I am a Senior at Crow Village Sam School. I have 3 younger brothers and 3 younger sisters. After High School I plan on going to the University of Alaska Anchorage to either become a teacher or to become an accountant. Who knows what will happen. My plans can change so whatever happens, I hope I will be successful in life.:) I like to play basketball, hang out with friends, cruise around town(ride around), travel, and spend time with family. I am shy at 1st but can be funny and outgoing when you get to know me. I love to have fun all the time. I also like meeting new people. I just like to have fun and do fun stuff all the time. Bored to me is blah..... being bored is too much.. so I try to have tons of fun.

Where do I live?

I live in Chuathbaluk, Alaska. It is small, the population is about 100ish people. Not too much. It can be boring at some points but most of the time it is. There is nothing to complain about because there is no use.. so I don't really care. What we do for fun basically is just ride around, stay home and watch television, hang out with friends, go to social events. Nothing fun really we just repeat the same things over and over again every day. So it is just and average village. Chuathbaluk is a Native village. There are some bilingual people but most are elders and some adults. Chuathbaluk is just like any other village on the Kuskokwim.
